A Compassionate Approach
A clinic founded by people with ADHD for people with ADHD.

We are a team of clinicians with lived experience of ADHD and neurodiversity.
Both of us, Fraser and Elly, were diagnosed with ADHD as adults. For years, we didn’t realise our brains worked differently. We just knew we were exhausted from trying to keep up. Like many others, we spent a long time navigating systems that weren’t built with us in mind, without understanding why things felt harder than they should.
We created Anderson Brooks Clinic to offer the kind of assessment we wish we’d had. One that is thorough, respectful, and focused on helping you make sense of your experiences, not just confirming a diagnosis.
Our assessments are clinically rigorous. We follow the NICE guidelines, which are the same standards used by the NHS, but we go beyond them. We work with you to understand how ADHD may be affecting different areas of your life, and build a shared picture of what’s going on. Quality, clarity and collaboration are central to everything we do.
We provide private ADHD assessments for adults in Glasgow, Lanarkshire and Wiltshire. We also offer remote ADHD assessments UK-wide via secure video appointments. Whether you meet with us online or face-to-face, our process is designed to be accessible, validating, and grounded in real-life experience.
We charge a flat fee that is similar to or lower than many private providers. While most services offer a fixed number of sessions based only on diagnostic criteria, we work differently. Our process is flexible, and the number of sessions depends on what is needed to reach an understanding that feels accurate and helpful. On average, people working with us spend more than 10 hours in direct contact across multiple sessions, without feeling rushed.
If an ADHD diagnosis is the outcome, it doesn’t end there. You won’t be left with just a label. We aim to help you make sense of your experiences and begin to create systems, routines and environments that work with your brain, not against it — so you’re not stuck navigating life on someone else’s terms.
If you’re considering an ADHD assessment, we offer a free 20-minute enquiry to help you decide whether we’re the right fit.

Despite being trained and working as a psychologist, Fraser didn’t initially consider that ADHD might apply to him. His diagnosis in adulthood revealed some of the common misconceptions about ADHD, such as the idea that it only affects those who are disruptive or constantly moving. Fraser hadn’t fit that stereotype, and being quite academically able, he didn’t recognise the signs in himself until later. Since his diagnosis, he has developed a deeper understanding of ADHD, including the less obvious ways it can impact adults.
Fraser is keenly aware of the frustrations many adults face when trying to access a proper ADHD assessment. His private practice aims to offer more than just a diagnosis—it provides a comprehensive evaluation of how ADHD impacts everyday life, beyond just the typical diagnostic criteria. He understands that navigating ADHD as an adult often involves uncovering traits that have been masked or misunderstood for years.
If you’re seeking a thorough, supportive, and empathetic approach to understanding your ADHD, Fraser is committed to helping you gain clarity and find strategies that work for you as an individual.
Together with his colleague Dr Paul Gilmartin, Fraser has also developed assistive technology, “focalpoint,” designed to support neurodivergent readers, particularly those with ADHD. More about this initiative can be found at www.focalpointreading.com.
Health and Care Professions Council registration
