You will be provided with either a brief assessment letter or more in-depth assessment report (depending on which pricing plan you have selected). This will detail what happened in our assessment, our initial understanding and diagnostic opinion.
If provided with a diagnosis, the more in depth assessment letter provide further information pertaining to your personal ADHD profile, including areas of strength and difficulty, how you may be impacted on a day-to-day basis and recommendations for further support and strategies.
We will talk you through what the diagnosis means for you, and together we will develop resources and a tailor made resource pack. This will provide you with strategies to support highlighted difficulties.
We will also discuss other post-diagnostic support available to you, such as our 1:1 consultation sessions where we can spend more time exploring your ADHD profile and cognitive, behavioural and emotional strategies to support you day-to-day.
As clinical psychologists we do not prescribe medication following a diagnosis of ADHD. You may be able to receive medication through your GP.
However, it is advised that you consult with your GP prior to starting the ADHD assessment process as some GPs may not accept a private ADHD assessment.
Please see: ‘Our Services’ > ‘Post Diagnostic Support’ > ‘Medication’ for more information.
We believe in equitable access to health care and ADHD assessment, regardless of financial status. Therefore, we have discretionary rates for low-income households and military personnel.
